We have some exciting news!
After months of extensive testing, we’re excited to introduce our upgraded Premium PU HTV – the VivaFlex! range.
We didn’t think it possible to improve on our current range, but this supreme PU offers the best cuttability and weed-ability of the most intricate designs, and superb wash durability.
Over the coming weeks, as we replace the current colours with the new range, you will note an asterisk * next to the colour option in the drop-down menu, denoting that when you receive your order, the colour(s) will be of the upgraded range.
Where there is not an exact/close colour match on the previous Quick Press colour, you will see the colour name has changed for VIvaFlex.
The carrier sheet is manufactured from recycled polyester and is quite dull with a matt appearance. The adhesive side you need to cut is now white on the majority of new colours. The carrier sheet is recyclable itself, however it may leave behind glue residue (which isn't recyclable). Please ensure all glue residue is cleaned off the sheet if you are able to recycle the product in your recycle bin.
Some colours however are the same colour on both sides and can make knowing which side to cut on trickier. Please refer to the link above titled VivaFlex Carrier Sheet Vs Adhesive Sides - this is a guide to help figure out which side is the carrier side and which side is the adhesive side,
If you’re unable to fathom it, take a weeding hook and peel back a corner… Do not make the same mistake we did on our first test and cut into the dull carrier!! The carrier needs to be face down on to your mat, and you will still need to cut your designs in reverse. You should not need to change your cut settings (we didn’t need to in our testing,) but please do conduct a test cut first so you’re confident there isn’t going to be any wastage.
The VivaFlex! range is amazingly easy to apply with an iron, Easy Press or Heat Press.
It does work to the same guidelines as the current range – 150c to 160c for 5 to 8 seconds with a medium even pressure, but you can also press at lower heats for a longer press time – 140c to 150c for 8 to 10 seconds | 130c to 140c for 10 to 12 seconds and 120c for 15 seconds.
Washing instructions remain the same – wait at least 24 hours before washing, turn clothes inside out and wash at a max of 40c. As with our current range of Premum PU, the VivaFlex! range is safe to use on baby and children’s clothing, having the CIPSA certification. It is also EN-71 certified.
